What is A.R.T.?
Autonomic Response Testing, or A.R.T., is a highly sensitive and advanced muscle bio-feedback assessment technique that helps to:
-
Identify chronic infections
-
Identify organ imbalances
-
Find toxicity in the body.
The system also uncovers the most effective remedies to clear the imbalances and to rebalance the patient.

It was developed by the renowned German physician Dr Dietrich Klinghardt. It forms the diagnostic part of his “5 Levels of Healing”: our bodies are much more than just a physical body; we are also have an energetic, mental, intuitive and spiritual element too. To fully allow healing to occur and to restore wellbeing, each of these levels need to be addressed.
A.R.T. looks for the stressed condition of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) called 'blocked regulation'. Blocked regulation refers to the inability of the ANS to self-regulate and is commonly caused by 7 factors.
Dr Klinghardt’s’ “7 Factors of Wellness and Chronic Illness” include: undiagnosed food allergies, heavy metal toxicity, chemical toxicity, chronic unresolved infections, scars, temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, unresolved psycho-emotional stress, biochemical deficiencies, structural imbalance and electromagnetic stress.
The “autonomic” in A.R.T. refers to the autonomic nervous system. This is the part of the nervous system which is responsible for all the automatic functions of your body such as: heartbeat, breathing, digestion, immune function, sleep patterns, hormone regulation, blood pressure, liver detoxification etc.
What can you expect?
If you are attending clinic in person, then you will recline on a massage table for the full duration of testing. With a seated consultation at the start and end of the session to review your completed health questionnaires at the start, and to review your treatment protocol at the end.
During the A.R.T. testing, there will be a third person involved, who will be connected to the client with one hand touching their leg, and also serve as my muscle to test with, by offering me their arm. This means that there is very little for the patient to do and is much less invasive or tiring than other muscle testing methods.
